Buuut, could I sub cauliflower for the butter?

Silly, you sub cauliflower in for the regular flour, chocolate protein powder in for the cocoa, splenda in for the sugar, olestra in for the butter, and make sure to remove the yolks from the eggs. It'll totally taste the same right?

Exactly what it says. My gram used to make a batch of brownies once every two weeks or so then cut them into tiny pieces (maybe 48 to a 9x13) and let me have a square after school with a cup of hot tea. These are the best most decadent and amazing brownies I've ever had.

Not for the faint of heart or those worried about anything other than enjoying a damn good brownie.

    1 cup (2 sticks) butter
    2 cups sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    4 eggs
3/4 cup Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa powder (or whatever your like)
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
1 TB Espresso Powder or instant coffee

    1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

    2. Dissolve instant coffee in just enough hot water to get the job done
    .
3 Place butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 2 to 2-1/2 minutes or until melted. Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with spoon after each addition. Add coffee. Add cocoa; beat until well blended. Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat well. Pour batter into prepared pan.

    4. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. (I usually eat them hot. Because brownies. But if you can wait it out...)

    5. Apply brownie directly to mouth.

Notes: You can add nuts or chocolate chips or...idk. Stuff. I like mine as is, with ice cream on top. I'm a simple gal.

    Yum, these sound delicious!
