What is Tabata Hiit? I've seen it mentioned on a few websites, but have no idea what it is.0

20 seconds of work follow by 10 second rest. I repeat till I cannot go hard during the work time anymore. It has claims to burn as much as 30 minutes of slow steady cardio but not immediately. It will burn more in the 24 hours that follows doing HIIT so studies claims.0

When you do weights you're supposed to go for a set then wait 30 seconds, then go again. So, it's like that but for cardio. It sounds interesting.0

When I weight train my breaks are a little longer than 30 sec. 2 minute breaks for strength and 1 minute break for size.
size= low weight high reps
strength = high weight low reps.0 -
What is Tabata Hiit?
Tabata refers to an approach to high intensity intervals where the active period exceeds the rest period. Clearly you're not going to be able to sustain the same intensity with less rest, but it places some interesting stresses on the CV system0 -
