For my work I travel all day. I am trying to figure out what is the best meals for me to pack with me for on the go. I do not have access to a microwave to heat up and a lot of times my meals are in the hot car. Any ideas are appreciated.

I have a Pack-it lunch box that I got from Walmart. It stays cold for 8-9 hours. You can get one of those and pack fruits or a sandwich or something.

    Quinoa Salad

    Quinoa Pizza Bites (http://missbefit.tv/quinoa-pizza-bites-recipe)

Tuna wrap with lots of pickle and celery (I suggest using light mayo and if you make the tuna salad part the night before I find you can use 1/2 the mayo too. It get's more moist over night...)

Antipasto salad (salad, top it with sliced chicken or beef and cheese, toss in pepperoni and olives - maybe a light vinaigrette if you have the room for it)

Feta cheese and raisin couscous (couscous tossed with feta cheese, raisins or dried apricots)

Mock sushi (Put (brown?) rice in a lettuce leaf, add cucumber slices, carrots, imitation crab and roll that up - add wasabi or ginger for kick)

Chilled gazpacho soup (you could make this in a big batch) and whole grain bread of some kind.

Cold Southwestern Corn and Shrimp Soup (http://www.marthastewart.com/314967/cold-southwestern-corn-and-shrimp-soup?czone=holiday/sixty-days-of-summer/recipes-ideas&gallery=275692&slide=314967&center=276964)

    Sandwich of any kind...

Blah, I hate cold lunches.. hmm... probably because I've never bothered Googling it before. The ideas above intrigue me...

ETA: I agree with the person above, get a small cooler. You'll be using it every day so it's a good investment. Plus you can bring it to the beach too!

I eat lunch meat/cheese that I've rolled together & put in ziplock bags
Lots of fruit (grapes, nectarines which are fab right now, bananas, cherries, apples, etc)
Flavored tunas in the pouches (if I had to drain it? no way haha)
    Homemade trail mixes
Chopped up veggies (cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, celery with peanut butter)
Protein bars (but gotta pick ones that are actually nutritional & worth it)
    Cups of yogurt
    Portioned out cottage cheese

So many things that you can put in a cooler and will stay cold all day
