Ab belt advice

Okay this is not another one of those threads asking if they work so I can be lazy. I do try to keep fit and motivated, I exercise at least 4 times a week, one is a run, one is a swim and the others are fitness classes which incorporate cardio, toning and strength. The issue I'm having lately is since upping the exercise I'm getting lower back pain. I've had a very arched back for years but never realised that it wasn't normal and that I need to start correcting my posture. What I want to know is if an ab belt or something similar is something that might help since a weak core is one of the causes of an over arched back. I already do ab exercises in my fitness classes and a home so looking for a bit of a boost really that might help. If anyone has any advice, about using an ab belt or even better ways that will help my lower back that would be greatly appreciated.

To correct lordosis, stretch your hip flexors and lower back several times a day, ideally hourly.

    - hip flexors

    - lower back

    Hold each for 20+ seconds.

And practice holding good posture and keeping your abs contracted all day long. Nothing else substitutes for that.

Avoid leg lifts and similar ab exercises that work the hip flexors, since it will make them tighter and worsen your swayback.
