Questions and need answers

Hi everyone I am Theresa Hurtado I am new at this and I am liking it But confused a little about how it works. Also I am confused about what sugars are bad nor good. I guess I need answers or help on what calories should be counted and what ones dont matter. I have been doing this diet and exercise for now 5 days its going ok get could be better. But I am happy at least for trying and doing it now being 29 years old having a two year old I guess I am better then I have been in months. Its better to start then not to at all :happy:

Hi Theresa Nice to meet you I think we all had a lot of questions when we started The main goal should be to eat at the calories MFP advises you each day and not go to much under or over As far as bad and good anything is okay in moderation. As long as you are hitting your calorie goal. Over time you will find foods that maybe are not worth the calories to you and you may decide to stay away from or only have on occasion. When I started out I did a lot of frozen meals etc but found I could not have the same volume of food in those as I could if I cooked my own so I have switched to more "cleaner eating" and make my own meals using protien and veggies. It is all a series of small changes that will happen overtime as you learn about food Also pay attention to your macros (protien, fat and carbs) You should aim to hit those goals as close as you can but I would work on the calorie part first then when you are hitting the correct amount of calories each day start working on adjusting your food to meet your macros for optimal health If you would like feel free to send a friend request! which calories should be counted? every single one of them! ALL calories matter - despite what some fad diets claim, calories are calories.

All calories need to be counted. Your body certainly counts them all - why wouldn't you?
