How can i reverse diet properly??

So after finally buying a scale, ive realized that the past 10 weeks of barely seeing results, it was because of my metabolism and not because i wasnt exercising. I mean i did all the refeeds and made percautions for exactly this, but i ended up htting that plateau:( Partially i think it is because i came off a FAILED reverse diet just months before and was cutting no longer than 6 months prior to this cut which is why im now thinking my metabolism wasnt even ready to lose weight yet. So eating 1800 calories and carb cycling, ive deicided to reverse diet up to the high 2000s. What happened was at first went to 2000 calories right away and i was bringing up carbs slowly since i figured carb cycling is like keto since you are low carb most of the time, but for the last two days i said *kitten* IT A CALORIE IS A CALORIE IMA EAT ALL THE CARBS I WANT.... and continuing to eat 2000 calories, i gained a couple lbs but looked a bit leaner...except today. Today was the same thing as always but for some reason i am bloated in every where except my face but i weigh the same. I am too sick and tired of losing weight then gaining it back over and over. Right now i am considerably leaner than i usually am throughout the year but id like to be a bit leaner, so what im going to try to do is just add 100 cals a week til im too full and am gaining weight faster.
Then maintain for a couple weeks at what i am certain is maintenance, and then cut properly maybe with higher calories.
ANY SUGGESTIONS I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET?
I refuse to gain the weight back for the billionth time,i just refuse

Are you saying the you had weight loss results for the 10 week period? That is good.
Are you asking a question?
This post is confusing.
Also it helps the reader if you can use paragraphs.0 -
The biggest problem that I can find or understand is that you are dieting. Keyton is meant to be a short term diet, not a lifestyle. So, every time you cease eating in that fashion all the weight you lost comes back.
What I would suggest, and it's a crazy suggestion, is to make sustainable and small lifestyle changes to lose weight. Still plan your meals. Still keep a food diary. Keep exercising. Realize weight loss will not happen over days or weeks but in months and years.0 -
I'm list on the original post myself......0

One week is not long enough for your body to realize you're making a change and adjust. I think you'll have better luck if you increase 100 calories a day and stay there for at least 3 weeks before bumping again. Track your weight and see what the trend is and then decide if you want to increase your calories again.0

increase calories? your profile says you need to lose 150 lbs. so if you are at 1800-2000 you have pretty high calories as is... I can't really makes sense of what you wrote...but sounds like you have been yo-yo dieting and that will not work.
Find one and stick with it for a minimum of two weeks, four would be best. Log your calories and exercise and do not eat all your exercise calories back, you may not have an accurate count of the calories or burns so best to not eat back all the burn.
If after a decent amount of time to test it (2 to 4 weeks), the diet doesn't seem to be working come back and ask again for some input make sure to have your food diary open so people can take a look to better advise you.0 -
If you really have 150 lbs. to lose I don't think you need to worry about refeeding and reverse dieting and carb cycling and metabolism. We all plateau, virtually. It doesn't mean we did something wrong or broke our metabolism. It's just how weight loss works. The best thing you can do for your metabolism now is to get a calorie deficit going that you can maintain and get some of that weight off.0

^^ that.
Obese/overweight people typically don't need to bother with reefeds or cyclical approaches unless you're doing so for adherence reasons.0
