First 20 pounds ...

Well over the last 5 years, 3 pregnancies, 2 small kids, and 30 weeks of strict bed-rest I gained a bunch of weight. My hubby and I are done with having kids so it's now time for me to get back to me. I started this program on September 9th via the iPhone. As of today I have lost 20 pounds. I still have a long way to go but its nice to see a nice round number rather than a nice round belly. I have seem changes in my body and I am starting to feel more like me again every day. Fat is like a parasite that eats you and you are forced to try and live trapped inside it. I want out. Thanks for listening and being here when support is needed. It's important to know others are out there fighting their way out too.

congrats to you! isnt it great to see some progress? I have 2 kids 17 months apart and after that second kid I kept gaining, instead of losing like I did with the first! It sucked, but 3 years later here I am trying to lose it. It's a struggle but I put on a pair of jeans I haven't worn since before I got pregnant with my second and I was amazed! I am heavier now then I was at that point but your body does weird things after giving birth lol...anyway, long rant! Congrats to u again, and good luck on losing the rest! I'm really enjoying this site and the support!0

That's great! My fiancee and i want to hopefully try with our first in a couple of years. I don't look forward to the weight gain, but when it comes to your own child, you don't really worry about the pounds is my guess. Good for you for staying healthy!0

With me I had medical issues that made me have to stay in bed. We lost my first pregnancy when the baby came early at 22 weeks. That is when they knew I had an issue, so I hate the gained weight and didn't lose anything after ...well due to depression. Six months later we tried again and got pregnant right away and at 14 weeks I ended up on bed rest, 20 weeks later my son came (6 weeks early) then with my youngest they had a new medication for my condition that got me further with out bed reset but still ended up spending 10 weeks in bed with him. If I had nice normal pregnancies it would have been so bad. I was so weak from the bed reset the first time I couldn't even turn over in bed by myself. I would have to wake my hubby up in the middle of the night to help me turn over. Before I had my second son I did physical therapy with my chiropractor to get my core strength back up and lost some weight but not much. So don't stress the pregnancy because chances are you'll be fine and be able to exercise all the way and eat right going in. I didn't have much choice on eating since I was being feed by my husband (who worked full time) while stuck in bed.0
