Hey All,

I started my weight loss journey on 1st August 2010 and today is my first weight loss target date... I had set a target to loss 35 pounds but I could lose 34.2 pounds... I fell short by 0.8 pounds to achieve my first target.

Status as of today - 15th November 2010
Weight Loss - 34.2 pounds
Total Inch Loss - 19.5 inches
Hips - 5.1 inches
Waist - 6.3 inches
Upper Arm - 1.8 inches
Thigh - 3.9 inches
Calf - 2.4 inches

My next target date is 1st Jan 2011.... I shall surely keep you posted about my progress.

The weight loss journey has kinda become bit difficult. Its no more easy to shed those pounds.. I did expect this to happen and I am not quitting.. I shall continue putting my best efforts towards achieving my goal. I have included more protein in my diet and try to eat less carbs as the day goes by... Currently my diet is split as – 45% cabs, 35% proteins and 20% fat….The daily calorie allowance is 1200 calories(exercise adds more to it)

It would be great if you could share some tips for weight and inch loss with me... Your experience will only help me achieve my goals better.

I really want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your endless support and motivation. Hugs to all !! :flowerforyou:

Luv n Hugs,
S.K.B

34 pounds is awesome! And it has happened quickly. I too found that after the first loss, it was harder. But it is still do-able, and it will happen slowly and consistently if you keep staying under your calorie limit. My first 25 lbs seemed to melt off, and then things really slowed, but I just kept working, and now I am at my final goal!! You'll be there too.

Today is a milestone day for me as well. My original goal was to be at 200 (down from 238 at the end of June) today. I didn't quite make it, but did get down to 204.8 and that 5-ish pounds isn't a big deal. The great part is that I lost 33 pounds in about 4 and a half months. I am pleased with my success and it is enough to get me going to my overall goal of getting down to 180 by the time June rolls around again.

This last month was a slow one for me as far as pounds lost. The snow came in and took away my primary source of fat burning, hiking. But I started doing the 30 day shred, which kept me active at least. Today was a measurement day for me. Even though I only had a net loss of 1.2 pounds, I still lost 1.25 inches from my waist. One of my tips is to remember to think of this not so much as a weight loss journey as much as it should be a fat loss journey. I've been doing a lot of squats, lunges, and push ups that I know are increasing my muscle mass.

I don't know what your overall goal is, but they say the last 10 pounds or so is the hardest and takes the longest to lose. Just keep eating well and exercising. Perhaps bump up the cardio and shake up your routine so the body isn't comfortable. I've gone from hiking to shredding and just started Insanity today. I just never let my body get comfortable with what I'm doing so it keeps burning those calories.

Good luck on achieving your New Year Goal!

Just be careful. Some people get so caught up in their weight loss goal, they forget to be mindful of what their body needs. Your body will hit a plateau, and it will need a little break from your regular routine. You could have to switch your routine up, change around some foods. If you don't eat your calories like you should you could send your body into starvation mode. I did that when I didn't even realize I was doing it. My body stopped responding. Now I am back at it, and doing better. If you don't always make your goal then that is okay. As long as you continue to do it the healthy way it will happen for you.

    Good luck in your journey!
