How to stay on track whilst on holiday?

So I'm going to be away for a month and probably won't be able to log anything. I'm also not going to be cooking for myself (aaaaah). Just wondering if anyone has any tips for staying on track and not overeating? Don't really want to destroy my progress now!

Holidays can be so difficult as you are well aware. You are just going to have to stick with PORTION CONTROL. In reality there is no...bad...food, so eat what is cooked for you and watch the amount on your plate. Load up on veggies and the protein offered.
You can do it.
I also wear a pandora bracelet thats jingly and heavy on my wrist. It acts as a physical reminder of my journey and how far I have come. Maybe something like that as your own secret reminder of your 9 lb loss already and how much further you want to go.
Hope this helps a little

Portion control + being more active.
But why can't you log on vacation?0 -
Thanks for your replies I'll work on my portion control before I go haha! I won't have internet for most of the time I'm there but I'll log when I get the chance! It's a field course so hopefully will be active for most of the day. I like the idea of something to remind me of my progress though, it will hopefully help me to stop eating when I know I'm full and not carry on for the sake of it0

Not to be revolutionary or anything, but people did count calories before the internet.
Why not take something like this and a small notebook with you on your trip?

Just don't go totally overboard and you'll be fine. I'm just back from a week of vacation when we ate out all the time, and had dessert every day (and I had pizza and sandwiches and even some fries once) and I'm lighter than I was now than when I left (although granted, I had gained some water weight before leaving, so I might have gained 1-2 pounds, but I also exercised so at least it wasn't a total waste).0
