Pro... or not...

I've been around a while, then again I've been gone a while too..

I lost 15 pounds
(gained that back plus some)
I lost 10 pounds
(gained that back plus some)

Each time I quit, went away, and put it back on!
I learned a lot through the experience of those who were my friends, independent research, even some nutrition classes.
Each time I convinced myself that I could do it by myself, that I didn't need this...
BUT I was wrong! And here I am back...
When I started 45 days ago I was at my highest weight ever except when I was pregnant.
I've lost 9 pounds since then putting me at 172.(which is higher than my original starting weight of 167 a couple of years ago)

So thus far MFP has helped me lose 34 pounds!
That's my motivation! I can clearly lose weight, now I just have to keep doing what I know I should be doing and then figure out how to keep it off!
I'm not here for a quick weight loss, I'm here for good. I'm planning to log for a minimum of 2 years and then I'll go from there.

Seeing as I'm a really good weight gainer, I'm likely here for good. If you'd like to join me in my journey and have some experience similar to mine please feel free to add me.

Exceptions to the open invitation- food haters, LCD, VLCD, self punishers. That's about it. :) Thanks for reading!

Speaking from experience, perhaps the key is only make changes you feel you can sustain long term, for me it's been making alcohol none school night only, and cutting out sneaky choc (work in an environment where we get given a lot of chocolates from grateful relatives)

Thank you. My problem lies in that when I'm not tracking I start to forget meals and I eat less and less until I start binging again. While I'm tracking I do not withhold my favorites, or splurges. It's very sustainable for me, I just get lazy and stop tracking and begin the cycle again... I set myself to maintenance and aim to average my weekly deficient in a healthy range since my activity level is highly unstable it's easier for me to focus on the week instead of the day.

Hi Cindy, request sent! Thanks and glad you found MFP! This is an awesome place to be, definitely the most helpful site that I have found.

Took my before pictures today... I've been avoiding it... but now they're done... comparing them to my previous before pictures is a good motivator as well..
