Huh. I mistakenly thought all that was set out in stories I haven't read, the ones from before Song of Ice and Fire.

not really i loved to hate that kid! plus i really wanted him to find out he was an incest baby before he died.

dany is becoming very boring although i think it's hilarious that she's learning that she sucks as a queen.

based on what we've seen the only person i think would make a good ruler is John Snow, with Tyrion as his Hand. Robert sucked, Dany sucks, Robb sucked, Joffrey sucked. Tommen is going to suck now that Cersei is back in control.
Maybe Dany can get better as a ruler?

I'm sort of to the point where I want teh White Walkers to come and kill everyone except Tyrion, Hodor, Jon, Ghost, Brienne, Shireen and Hot Pie.

it's taking me 2 years to get through book 2.. so much bad writing. so I dont think i'll be reading the rest

Dont get me wrong, I actually like Jaime, I just think that his character is going to be better once he gains a bit more compassion. then again more than likely once that happens he'll die because that seems to be how GRRM rolls :laugh:

Oh and watching the Brienne Hound fight made me kind of hate Arya a little. I like those 2 characters (but not together, I'm shipping Jaime and Brienne) and was hoping they'd join up. I didn't want either to die and I hope the Hound somehow makes it.

Right there with ya. The Hound is another character I feel for. I don't hate Arya even a little bit, though. She can't be anything else, given what has happened to her. At least she's a fighter. I've grown to like her sister, too, though, and at first I wanted to slap the pretty off that one's face!

The characters are surely why I rarely notice bad writing. So alive and capable of change. That is so rare in novels.

But it wouldn't have served the story to make his death lingering. The little sociopath just needed to exit stage left, his filthy little role in the story complete. To make an audience really care, you have to torture the ones who DON'T deserve it, not the ones who do.
