Knowing when to stop...

This morning I went to my first spin class. I wasn't hungover or tired, but after about 25 mins in I could taste vomit in my mouth and was sweating more than I ever have on any equipment EVER. the PT was screaming at me to push but eventually I ran to the bathroom thinking I was going to be sick. I thankfully wasn't, and went back. After about 3 more minutes though I started to taste vomit again though so called it quits. As I was getting off and leaving the PT was yelling at me to stay and push myself more. I felt really guilty leaving and even had a little cry. I feel like I was right to go so I wouldn't push myself too hard. But am I just being overdramatic?

Nah. You know your limits. If I were about to vomit, I would stop. I'm prone to dizzy spells and sometimes have to stop exercising and sit down, elevating my legs. You know your body better than anyone else. Listen to it.

I think you did good listening to your body. The instructor probably thought they were just trying to motivate. I wouldn't worry about it. Go back and try again soon.

don't blame the PT, he can't feel what you feel. His job is to try and motivate you to push to your limits. That is exactly what happened. Go back and keep it up.

Listen to your body. If you are about to be sick, that is not right. Know your Limits. The Instructor was just trying to Motivate you. That is their job. God back and try again, This time try to go a little longer. Talk to your Instructor. They may have advice to help you though the nausea. It is always best to communicate.

I had a similar experience last Friday Aqua Jobbing. I usually go for 1:15 to :30 But I could only make it an hour. I felt sick and nauseated. I stopped as well. Do not want to get sick in a pool!!!!! A big public busy pool!!!!!

Spin instructors are super pushy! you did the right thing for stopping.
I had to stop after 30 minutes on first two classes due to the same thing, it was really scary to stop as everyone around me was still going strong and i didn't want people to think i was weak but it's always best to listen to your body so well done for not letting the PT push you past your limits!
