I decided to start this challenge after reading a post by someone who is not going to weigh-in until the New Year. I thought that was a pretty cool idea. I didn't want to go that long, however, because I had already made a goal to lose 2-3 lbs by Thanksgiving. So I decided to start my own challenge. I am calling it the 10-Day, No Weigh! Challenge. Starting today and going until Thanksgiving (November 25th). It's a good way to break the habit of weighing too often, and also challenge you to track your progress in other ways. So if you are up for a little challenge, please join! During the 10 days, try to track your progress using things other than scales. Measurements are great. How about energy levels? How do you feel? How do you look? How are your pants fitting?

If you decide to join, please leave a comment with your starting weight (and any other info you would like to share), and check in often to let everyone know how you are doing! On Thanksgiving, everyone check in with your weights/measurements! Good luck!!

Starting weight 11/15/10: 129-130 lbs (it fluctuates between those)
Waist: 30.0

  • I'm in as well!! I weighed 12st 5 this morning... a bit annoyed cos I'd gone down to 12st 3 so I've gained a couple of pounds and I feel like I'm losing it a bit so this will be good for me knowing there are other ppl doing it! Cool!!!

I don't think I could do this. I get too much satisfaction seening the scale go down. Good Luck!

I'm forced to do this from Thursday through the 1st! I am moving and am having my scale shipped...so...yeah. Can't weigh in. Will be interesting, since I'm a daily weigher!

    11/15 - 183.4
  • I am in, this is going to be hard for me since I weigh my self too much instead of doing it every week. But I can have my husband hide the scale so I do not have the temptation.

    Weight: 157
    waist: 34
    hips 42

Its good to see people up for a challenge! I typically weigh every two days, sometimes more. Some weeks I will just bust my butt and work so hard, just to see the scale barely budge. Then I feel totally down, like all that hard work wasn't worth it. But the truth is, even when the numbers aren't moving, my body is still changing and I am still becoming healthier and more fit... So I thought this would be a good challenge to change the way we see our journey to fitness :) I am so glad to see that I am not alone! Thanks to all of you that have joined so far!

ok, I'm in! i need to avoid the scale this week anyways, since it's about that TOM, and any step on the scale will probably result in depression... however, so will whipping out the measuring tape or trying on too small jeans just to see if they fit yet...LOL so I am going to take this challenge one step further and not even try alternative methods for gauging my weight loss... but I will make sure I'm staying on track w/ my eating and exercise!

Good morning 10DNW Challengers! I almost hopped on the scale first thing this morning, but I remembered and stopped myself! I hope we are all pleasantly surprised at the end of the 10 days! Is anyone doing anything differently to make sure the scale moves? Being safe, just in case? Any plans for Thanksgiving? Keep up the good work everyone! I am very curious to see how we do!
