Welcome. I am starting my 5th month on MFP and I love it. It's the best decision I have made in many years. I have lost weight with diets many times before, but it was never a lifestyle change. This time is different; it's a lifestyle change, not a diet. Good luck on your weight loss journey. Please feel free to add me as a friend; we can help motivate each other.
  • I've been here ten days, and I love it. The tracking tools make it ridiculously easy to keep track of calories, and all the nice people here are so supportive and help me stay motivated. The first thing I want to do when I find I've had a success is tell people here because I know they'll all be happy for me, and I try to read and comment on as many other people's posts, whether they're happy, depressed, or just asking questions, as I can. I hope your stay here will be both as helpful and as enjoyable as mine has so far!
  • I absolutely hear you when you share how many times you have attempted to loose weight. Seems like every year at this time I start a new struggle. I have the tapes, CDs, exercise machines to prove it. But this time has been different. I have been on MFB for 2 weeks and have already lost 6 pounds. I couldn't be happier. I have to admit that my blessing has been the IPhone app which has helped me keep track of every little thing that goes into my mouth. It has honed my awareness to my mindless eating. To become aware of the calories in every item you eat for me has been key to my success. I still actually eat the same way I always have, just not as much. Most days my available calories are in the green, meaning I have calories left over. Occasionally I go over. Sundays have become a free day for me. I still don't over-do it but I take the day off from tracking. As long as I keep loosing it's working and that's what I care about. We each have to find what works for us. I do a paper route every morning. It's work I hate but because I can use the activity as calories burned I look forward to it. Browse the activity list and see what you may enjoy that isn't working out that you can do to count as calorie burned.
  • I have been there!!!! ARGH!!!!!! I feel like I am on my 100th time and still struggling!!!
