My name is Johanna; most people call me "Joni". I'm 54 years old, 5'5, medium build, and 160 pounds. Trying hard to give up smoking, loose some pounds, and get into better physical shape. Anyone want to ask me "How's that working for you?".
Yeah; it's not. Cigarettes are a worse addiction than heroin I think. I've done pretty good; just cannot seem to get to the "cold turkey" part. I find I'm putting more food in my hands. I also take an HRT compound and have hypothyroidism. Boo. Doctor just increased my medication level because my test came back at 7 when it should be 2-3. Ho hum.
On top of those juicy little tidbits; I'm fighting a shoulder injury. Just had an MRI last week and test results should be in early this week. Praying it's just a "frozen shoulder" and not requiring surgery. My arm makes my exercise varients low but I can walk. I was walking 2 miles a day but gave it up. No reason... just quit.
I don't eat normal meals. I eat fast food way too much when I do eat. I'm a coffee drinker and a soda pop fiend. I can live on them and usually do. Sometimes I go all day on just those two liquids. I'm a mess... and hoping MAYBE this MFP website will help me find my mojo.
I'm a middle Tennessee native....

Nice to meet you and hopefully we can be motivation for each other. I also love coffee and diet soda (still bad for me). Have a good night0
