Strength exercise calories??

I am just wondering why MFP doesn't add any calories in for strength exercises. I work with a personal trainer doing all strength exercises for 45minutes- 1hour 3-4 days a week. (I do cardio on my own on the off days). Should I really not be adding any calories for this strength training??

Enter it under cardio (look for strength training) rather than the strength training section.0

Also keep in mind, strength training is usually 50-60% rest time, so keep that in mind if you're manually trying to calculate how many calories you burn lifting weights and stuff. For instance, if I do 3 sets of Incline Bench Press, that actual act of exercising for one set is like 1 minute. Then I take 2-3 minutes to rest between each set.
I think this is why MFP estimates fairly low calories burnt for strength training, because when people input 60 minutes of it, they are including all that rest time as well.0 -
Great-- thanks so much!0
