BodyMedia or UP24

I have finally decided to leave my Polar behind and move up to a more complete fitness monitor. I've narrowed it down to the BodyMedia or UP24. I would appreciate any input from those with experience with each devise.

I started at 350 and am currently 282. Exercise if pretty evenly split between cardio and resistance. Light weight with high reps so far but moving towards more traditional lifting.

Thanks for your help. I'm anxious to get started.

I wasn't losing much until I got my UP. It shows your TDEE—way more accurate than any online calculator. It stopped working, but Jawbone replaced it.

MFP has a Jawbone UP Bracelet group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/13370-jawbone-up-bracelet

Note: UP requires a smartphone or tablet. The Fitbit Flex is similar, but can sync with a computer via a dongle.

I like my UP24. I can't realistically compare it to anything else because it's all I have, but it's done everything it's supposed to do, all the way down to the battery life.

I'd pick the Jawbone but I didn't like the BMF on my arm.

Jawbone owns Body Media now. If all the extra sensors really added a lot of value I figure all the trackers including the Up would use them. I never saw much difference in output between the two types.

I didn't know there was a group just for the UP. Thanks for you advice.
