Good morning! I'm currently 30 weeks + 4 days pregnant. I've gained 4 lbs so far during pregnancy, I was overweight to begin with. 226 lbs @ 5'3. I'm hoping to EBF my little guy, so I'm looking for some good postpartum recipes to help aid in healthy weight loss while keeping my calories high enough to produce enough milk. My goal is 1 lb per week at around 1800-2000 calories per day. Would also love some recipes for lactation cookies and such if you have those too! Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on not gaining much at all!! I'm pregnant as well, 27wks, but after my daughter was born (she'll be a yr old on the 18th) my doctor recommended 1800 calories sticking to protien, veggies, and fruit. Basically she recommended nothing refined or processed to help lose the lbs. You can eat a ton of veggies while only taking in a small amount of calories. I gained almost 50lbs with that pregnancy and lost all but about 7lbs within 4-5mths (then I got pregnant again :))

    For the lactation cookies: http://www.food.com/recipe/oatmeal-chocolate-chip-lactation-cookies-by-noel-trujillo-192346
I bought the flax seed at Walmart and the brewers yeast on Amazon.
They are so good even my husband and inlaws ate them up.

I would focus on freezer meals and the crockpot. Look up recipes on Pinterest. I had a little girl who never slept for most of the first year. I was exhausted all the time!

By the way, I was 238 when I got pregnant, 253 when I delivered and 227 the first time I stepped on the scale two weeks post partum. Now after 2 year of not dieting I am starting MFP at 210. So don't worry about the weight, so much. It will come off. Breastfeeding was always my first priority and I did it until she turned 17 months.
