Net calories

I don't really understand net calories and why I should have more of them. I eat around 1200-1400 everyday and usually burn 400-600 a day and my net calories usually always says around 800. I've done some research and every one says I need to have more calories. I don't get it though because I'm not hungry for more food and I would just be forcing my self to eat to make my net calories higher. I don't know if that makes sense but I don't know what I should do. I want to lose another 20lbs also

You are supposed to net 1200 - 1400 calories a day.

So if you are burning 400 calories doing exercise you need to eat 1600 - 1800 calories. 1600 - 400 = 1200 calories net.

Just be aware that MFP overestimates calorie burn for most people. The most accurate way to track cardio calories is with a HRM. Also, many users only eat back half of their exercise calories due to the MFP miscalculations.

Please make sure you're netting at least 1200.

Congrats on your weight loss. I know I don't have all the info, but if you've been netting 800 or so every day, then of course you're not hungry. I'm not saying you are anorexic, but anorexics don't get hungry the way normal people do. Their brains send the wrong messages about hunger. If you've lost 75 lbs, then you're brain might not be giving you clear hunger signals.

When you change your settings to lose 0.5 lbs per week, how many calories per day does MFP tell you to "net"?
