It took me about a year tto lose my weight because I was eating 1450 calories a day. I had a long plateau when I started dong strength training and I had to take a three month hiatus when I was in physicall therapy for three months for my feet.

It took me six months to get to my current weight. I have maintained since the June of 2012, or two years. my biggest challenge is staying on track with my exercise. I walk and stand as much as I can and do 15 to 45 minutes of Yoga or Barre3 every day.

Original SW after my son 186 (Was 157 when I got pregnant) (Started MFP Sept. 2011, 8 weeks after my son was born)
Took 4 months to reach my GW of 135
When I had my daughter I weighed 162
Reached my goal weight of 135 in 10 days (It was all baby weight)
CW 133 and have been allowing myself 2-3 lbs wiggle room in either direction and have maintained for a year and a half.

I started with eating back calories, but have since moved on to TDEE. I use to log my food every day, but after two years I know my portions and only log for a week every so often just to make sure I'm staying on track.

Cheer up. Sometimes it feels like such a battle, but maintenance can be tricky. You just have to find what works for you. Let me know if you need any help :)

It took me six months to hit my goal weight (final was 111) (Started in May 2013, hit goal in November 2013). In the first two months of maintenance I lost another 10lbs (no matter how high I upped my calories!) but luckily slowly gained back some of that to maintain around 105-106. Focusing on building lean muscle mass now. I have started logging again to keep myself in check and make sure I don't have too many ice cream cones down the shore this summer :). Good luck!

Actually, I started at January 2013. My goal was originally 160 before May 2013 for that summer. Because I am a student, I took fitness, weight training, and modern dancing for my classes during that semester and was 155 in the end. I was on a hiatus from summer 2013 to just last week, but my weight did not change during that course. Now, I changed my goal to 140 to normal my BMI since I am overweight still.

Took me just 3 months to lose it.
Been maintaining for about 12 years.

It was my first time losing weight, so I'm pretty pleased I've been able to maintain.
I think I do well because I haven't gone back to my bad habits.

I surprisingly lost 91 pounds in 10 months and have been maintaining now for about 2-3 months. I religiously kept up with the recommended calorie goal using MFP. I was doing mostly cardio starting off (jogging, biking). Now its more toning and strength training. I don't complete my logs as much as I use to, but I do log in everyday and check calorie and nutrition content on some foods. This app has EXTREMELY helped me to achieve and even surpass my goals. I'm maintain by exercising 2-3 times a week and sticking to my daily caloric goals.
