So I was jumping on our trampoline last night and as I jumped i heard a ripping noise in my knee. Anyway the doctor I saw isn't completely sure yet what's wrong but she says that she doesn't think it's anything serious (which is good news) HOWEVER I am not allowed to do sports for 3-4weeks! This is the most frustrating thing as the weather is nice and had just gotten into running outside and my weight loss was going great and now it's all going to come to a stop because of a stupid injury. I was really enjoying doing my exercises and I know that i am going to get frustrated especially since i've actually been seeing results lately and I'm scared that these will stop and that I might start gaining. I am going to try and keep doing strength training for abs and upper body but other than that I guess there is not much else I can do other than wait it out. Thanks for letting me vent, its just such a frustarting set-back thats all!

as fun and good a work out as trampolines are, yeah they can be very hazardous to the knees and ankles. Fortunately, if you use light weights and a circuit, you can still get pretty good cardio from weight training. you could also think about trying to semi-immobilize the knee with a good strong neopreen knee brace, then swim. Swimming shouldn't bother the knee very much and is a GREAT workout.0

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm seeing a specialist this afternoon to find out whether it is muscules or ligaments i've damaged (i'm hoping muscular) and how severely.I'll ask about swimming as I hadn't thought about that. I hope I can do this as then at least i would be able to do some form of exercise!0
