Lost 7 lbs in 10 days, my first weigh in!

I joined in October 2012. I stayed around for about a month. I came back to MFP June 28, 2014.

I don't have scales at home so I weighed myself at my sister's house. I go over there every Monday to eat dinner.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that in 10 days I had gone from 238 pounds, down to 231 pounds. 231 pounds is my lowest weight in 20-25 years! I haven't been hungry, I'm not craving foods, have plenty of energy, and I'm looking forward to some more weight loss. I'm interested in eating well, I guess some folks call it "clean eating". I've enjoyed eating "real" foods for years, I just ate too much of it. Now that I'm turning 60 this year, I've realized I don't really need to eat so many calories.

I had to tell someone!! :)

My food diary is public if you are interested.

That's fantastic! Keep it up! Not every week will likely have that impressive loss, but keep on course, and do what you are doing and each week will have a downward trend!. Way to Go!

Helen, congratulations on your tremendous weight loss! Thanks for telling us!

I did take up your invitation to peek at your diary.
What's most impressive to me is your caloric level. You're definitely not starving yourself to get results. You even had a pretty high day in there.

You've given me much needed hope and inspiration this morning! I got back to business on the 18th of June but I've been floundering because I keep trying to eat at too high of a deficit and end up bingeing. I'm going to try it your way and see what happens.

    I wish you much success!
