Weight loss and napping

I was wondering how many out there have found that they feel less tired during the day after they have lost a significant amount of weight? I have at least 100 lbs to lose, personally. I have a CPAP that I wear every night, but I find myself ready and able to take hours long naps after only a few hours of being awake.
This might be a factor of depression, I'm not entirely sure. I do know the CPAP is set at the appropriate level, so it's not a failure of the equipment during the night.
Anyone experienced this? Has weight loss made a difference? How about exercise?

I lost 55 pounds & I was still tired all the time. I was eating right & exercising. I went & had blood tests etc. They came back normal. The nurse taking my blood said to me "You're a Mum, you will always be tired" :laugh:0

I have been on CPAP for 16 years and can not even doze off without it on. That being said, I have lost over 100 pounds and yes I have more energy but even before I did not wake up and want to take naps. I would say in my opinion it could be related to depression. Good luck to you, I hope you seek help if you have depression, it is a very real and scary disease.0

Hi! I've got to lose a significant amount of weight too. I haven't lost all that much yet, but I've been at it for 2 weeks, mostly with walking as exercise. And that alone seems to make a difference. Before I tried to consistently walk AT LEAST 6k steps per day, I NEEDED a nap (1-2 hours minimum) or I was grumpy bear and not fit to live with.
Now, after about 2 weeks, I find that I don't crave my naps, I'd probably take one if I had the chance, but it's not like I need it.
So give it a go, start slowly and work yourself up to 10k steps a day and you'll see you'll feel better :-)0 -
Having naps isn't a bad thing, I think. When I'm tired it causes me to overeat on sweet foods so I nap quite often. I just set an alarm for 30 minutes or an hour later, take a nap then get on with my day.0
