Hi everyone.
I have been floating around reading all the posts for the last few days and thought I had better introduce myself. I am from Queensland, Australia, am 36 and a mum of four. I am also a Mental Health nurse, specialising in eating disorders and self harm. Currently, I am also very slowly recovering from 2 lots of major surgery due to being diagnosed with cancer. While it has been a very distressing and stressful few months, I am very, very lucky and don't need chemo. Happy Dance... Which brings me to MFP... Nothing makes you reevaluate your life and health more than having it threatened. So here I am. I am unable to exercise for another couple of weeks but have a BMI over 30 so I am trying to focus on eating well and being more mindful of what and how much I am eating. I was hoping to find some other people to connect with to make the journey a little more cheerful. Please feel free to add me. Thanks. :)
