slow weightloss

Has anyone had slow weight loss on 1500 calorie diet, the first week I lost 5 pounds but now it seems I'm still at the 5 pound mark. I work out 4 to 5 days a week and faithfully been counting my calories, has anybody
Ever had the same issue but successfully lost weight later in their journey?

Yep! Trying not to get discouraged though. Gotta keep on!

Actually yes, same here. Same. I am not understanding. I know I shouldn't drop any more calories, but goodness. It is hard to keep it up when nothing is happening.
  • Just like interval training is good so your body gets thrown off and goes into high gear instead of settling into the same workout routine- you should do the same with your calories! Try doing a 1200 calorie day and then an 1800 calorie day, then a few days at 1500 etc. It works and keeps you from weight loss plateaus!

It would seem to me that your initial weight loss of 5 pounds would include the loss of water weight. A normal healthy weight loss per week is usually considered to be 1-2 pounds.

Mine has slowed down to about .5 pounds per week. I am eating the same amount as you, but I don't work out as much as you. I think that my net calories are still about 1200 (After exercise is subtracted). Are you eating enough for the amount you work out?

If so, then be patient :) keep doing what you are doing and eventually things will start moving again.

Yea I eat my work out calories but not every bit of them, I'm not going to be discouraged, I measured myself the other day so I'm start looking at the inches instead of the pounds!
