Looking for sandwich wraps recipes

Does anyone have some good sandwich wrap recipes they use? Never made one before, and bought some sliced deli turkey and ham, and some cheese.

But what else do I put on? What kind of dressing, etc/?

Any ideas? Or any good recipes you guys might have?

Turkey Club Wraps (from Oxmoor House)

    Ingredients:
    1/2 ripe avocado, seeded
    1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
    Dash of ground red pepper
    1 small garlic clove, minced
2 (2-ounce) low-carb, low-fat sandwich wraps (such as California Lavash)
4 ounces organic lower-sodium deli turkey
    4 (1/4-inch) slices tomato
1/2 cup thinly vertically sliced red onion
    1 cup shredded romaine lettuce
    4 center-cut bacon slices, cooked

    Preparation:
    1. Scoop pulp from avocado; place in a bowl. Add lemon juice, pepper, and garlic; mash with a fork to desired consistency.
    2. Spread avocado mixture evenly over wraps. Layer 2 ounces turkey, 2 tomato slices, 1/4 cup onion, 1/2 cup lettuce, and 2 bacon slices on each wrap; roll up. Cut wraps in half. Secure with wooden picks. Serve immediately.

I make vegetarian wraps with hummus, goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, and micro-greens.

I've eaten a blueberry cream cheese-turkey-tomato-cucumber wrap before; that tasted great!

If you have leftover meats from the night before, that's always a great addition... buffalo chicken and cheese wraps; chicken salad and lettuce wraps, etc...

Breakfast wraps/burrito: Eggs, onion, bell peppers, sausage, tomato, and hot sauce.

My favorites all use leftovers from the night before. I like to cook chicken in salsa in the crockpot and then shred it. It is really good in a wrap with some lettuce, shredded cheese, salsa and sour cream. It is really filling and keeps me going all afternoon.
  • I made roasted butternut squash topped with quinoa with peppers/feta/pine nuts for dinner last night. I saved enough squash and quinoa to put a few table spoons in a wrap for lunch today. Added some homemade quacomole and I roasted some pepper and red onion whilst cooking the meal last night, which I added to the wrap - todays wrap was amazing!!

This is a recipe to be put in a half avocado but you could easily slice the avocado and wrap everything:

    Avocado chicken salad (serves 4)

2.0 cups, Chicken - Breast meat only, cooked and cubed or shredded
1/2 cup (4 fl oz), Greek yogurt
    3.0 tbsp chunky Salsa
    1.0 tsp Lime juice
2.0 Avocados, halved and pit discarded

Mix first 4 ingredients well. Scoop into center of avocado half

One I make often for breakfast:

    - 1 large whole grain tortilla
    - 1 laughing cow wedge (low fat)
    - 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
    - 20 g part skim mozzarella
    - 60 g cooked jerk pork (or cooked pork, but I love it with some jerk seasoning)
    - Thinly sliced red onions
    - Lettuce

    It's about 400 cals and 30 g of proteins.

I love to use a Laughing Cow cheese wedge, grilled chicken, spinach, diced tomatoes. Sometimes I throw a few craisins in too. Yum!

Here is a receipe that I have just found that could easily be a wrap.

Leftover Turkey Salad with Cranberries and Walnuts

2 oz leftover cooked turkey (chicken would work too of course)
1 wedge of the Laughing Cow Light Garlic and Herb
    1/2 oz walnuts chopped (14g)
    10g of Dried Cranberries
1/8 tsp gound sage or savory
    pinch of talt

place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Makes enough filling for one.

This can then be served on a toasted whole wheat English Muffin, wrap or Thin Bun with some salad greens

Another thought - a nice local coffee shop here serves phenomenal gourmet sandwiches and wraps. They serve a Garden Wrap, which is a spinach wrap smothered in roasted red pepper hummus, with spring greens, tomato, onions, quartered cucumbers, mushrooms and shredded carrots. It's delicious. :)

My husband loves when I make pulled BBQ chicken wraps....I buy Mcormick Pulled Pork seasoning for the slow cooker but follow it for the chicken recipe (located on the back of the package)

Also tuna wraps are always good and I recently made a curried quinoa+lentil wrap that was delish!!

1 can of your choice salmon/tuna/chicken or packet of surimi(fake crab or lobster)
    1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup shelled edamame or frozen peas
    1/4 cup frozen corn
Any herbs or spice you like
You can also throw in nuts, celery, dried fruit or hard boiled egg
Stir and spread. Loaded with protein and very low calories(unless you add nuts)

Load a 3" celery stick with Greek yogurt dip and wrap your meat around it. The ultimate low carb wrap. I use light bologna-super yum.

I'm not a big fan of eating salad off the plate so I like to "hide" mine in a wrap with just a dab of dressing and a little feta or swiss. I even throw in a few walnuts sometimes for a little protein.
