How quick does the weight go on?

If you eat over cals say for a weekend, how long would it take to see it on the scales? A day? two days? Longer?

  • You would have to eat 3500 calories more than your normal daily calories to gain a pound. So if your normal daily calorie goal is 1500, you would have to eat 5000 to gain a pound.

You might gain some water weight if you eat lots of sodium laden foods over the weekend. If seeing a gain on the scale would be upsetting, drink plenty of water for a few days after the weekend before you weigh yourself.

Have fun enjoying your weekend eating!

really depends how much you went over and how many days. You are already eating at a deficit if you are losing weight so to see a weight gain you would have to eat above matienence calories to see a gain. Depending on how much you went above you may gain just a few ounces it would take a lot to gain even a pound. As far as how long does it take to show up, it really depends on your body. If i have a bad day it usually shows up 2 days later :)
