Best way to tone up?

I want to start building muscle so that my weight loss will be sustained. Is Pilates a good option to do this?

    No, not really. You will want to lift. A very good beginner program is Stronglifts.

    Lift heavy objects for sure.

    Pilates is awesome for gaining body control, and some strength gains, but it's mostly stretching, and mobility in my experience. You'll want some resistance training to keep those muscles and even build them.
