What's in your shopping basket?
I thought I'd create this tag for a bit of fun. I would like everyone to go through their food diary for the past two weeks and list up all the raw produce you have consumed. Then you can say what you wish you had more of, less of, and what you would want to do differently in the next two weeks. I think it would be a lot of fun to see the sort of fresh foods that other people eat, and get ideas and inspiration.
Here's my list:
Bananas, Blueberries, Redcurrants, Grapefruit, Lime, Plum, Onions, Mushrooms, Sweet potatoes, Romaine lettuce, Sweet corn, Red tomatoes, Habenero, Sunflower seeds, Avocado, Beets, Zucchini, Strawberries, Pear, Oranges, Galia melon, Kiwi, Apples, Red lettuce, Pine Nuts/ Cedar Nuts, Yellow cherry tomatoes, Bell pepper, Cucumber, Radishes, Parsley, Dates, Ginger root, Cantelope, Dill weed, Chicory, Bokchoy, Carrots, Broccoli, Aubergine, Apricots
And this is how I feel about it:
I really need to eat more greens. I am not a salad person, so I will have to get creative.
I just ate apricots for the first time in my life, and I loved them. I live in Germany, and would like to try more local fruits and vegetables instead of buying so many imported items. I eat a LOT of dates, and apricots would work exactly the same in my smoothies.
I want to eat more berries. When I eat berries they make me feel like a superhero. <-Do they make you feel the same? :bigsmile:
