Moodiness and Pace... is this normal?

I downloaded Map My Walk a month ago and I love it. I love competing with myself and getting all nerdy with line graphs and bar graphs and split pace times.... (yes, I am a huge geek when it comes to data - probably why MFP is working so well for me -- new data every day!!!)...
Yesterday I was quite stressed out after a negative phone call with a loved one and went out for a walk with a few jogging intervals thrown in ... and I had my fasted pace ever, even taking out the jogging portions, my walking pace was fast for me.
Today I felt like a big blob and did the same route and decided just to walk, head down, mad at the world. My slowest. pace. ever.
Normal? Do you think I should have tried to jog just so that those stupid numbers wouldn't be contributing to my funk??? Have you ever exercised yourself into a good mood (full disclosure - I have always abhorred exercise! I tolerate it now but haven't found that sweet spot yet... someday, I want to love it but I've still got a long way to go before I am fit).

Most of my personally best workouts are usually when I am or rather was stressed or upset. Almost always working out and pushing myself puts me in a much better mood. I would almost say I rely on a good workout to get me feeling better if I am down and out. I guess its all personal preference, but I would say it wouldn't hurt to try and push yourself to your best if your only obstacle that day is a rotten mood or some stress.0
