Calories-Chef Salad?

I'm a little concerned the salad at work has incorrect nutrional information. It's made by Sodexo and claims 1 salad = 1 serving at 250 calories total. But from what I can see it has (probably),

1 ounce cheddar cheese
1 ounce swiss cheese
1 ounce ham
1 ounce turkey
1 hard-boiled egg
half a tomato
2 cups romaine

By my count this has to be at least a MIN of (80+80+40+30+70+10+20) = 330. And that's presuming they're using low calorie cheese and meat. Add another 60 calories for regular cheese and maybe another 30-40 for higher fat meat. Is it really possible to make a 250-calorie chef salad like this?

Unless you can deconstruct the salad (and why would you?) use the calories on the label. If you think it might be 50 - 100 calories more - add them to your diary if it makes you feel better.

You are possibly over estimating the amount of cheese by half and could be doing the same with the egg. Even cutting these by a small portion would indicate that the label was correct.

As stated above, without deconstructing it and weighing each part out, there's no way to know for sure.

Shrink the non-vegetable portions to .75oz each and shift that egg down to a medium and it could be 250 calories easily. Probably would go unnoticed even easier as chef salads use shredded cheeses.
