Hello all! Im new here. I lost 22lbs over the last 4 months and for the past 4-5 weeks I have hit a major plateau where I have not lost a single pound or decreased my body fat %. My diet has not changed and I lift weights 4X a week for 45 minutes along with 20min of intense cardio. I am very active, have always been in both athletics and coaching. I know that I am gaining strength however nothing else is changing. Any suggestions? I do have a stressful job and noticed that it started plateauing around the time my stress increased. could this cause this? Any suggestions on how to lower my % body fat?

What are your stats? And do you use a food scale?

my initial weight was 223 at 6ft tall. I am now down to 197. my body fat is now at 23.4%. A couple times a week I end up not eating all of my allotted calories having an leftover 500-600 calories or so. wondering if this is not helping?

You are about the same stats as me but 10 years older. What I would suggest is eating a standard 2200 calories a day, macros 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats. But most importantly, if you do not have a food scale, I would pick one up. Consistency and accuracy are the keys to success. If you fail at either, it will be difficult to reach your goals.
