Ok, so this is a promo for the 2011 book version, and I know these are the worst of the worst, but some of them floored me!

Even the "eat 1/2" trick won't work with so many restaurant foods!

i don't tend to watch what i eat when i eat out, since I do it about 4-8 times a year (though i try not to overeat / stuff myself when I do), but man, for people who eat out a lot! wow. you can see why overall we pack on the lbs!

Even 1100 cals in a kids mac and cheese!

I don't eat often at "chains" but when I do I find they are very accomodating and will grill/broil (or PF Changs does steaming with the same sauce). I order extra veggies, no cream sauces, low cal dressing (most have one) and no starch. Now, Mac n Cheese is not on my radar - at least until maintenance - and then I will make my favorite Martha Steward Mac n Cheese and watch portions!

Exactly my point. People get so freaked out about a cheeseburger between two donuts at a county fair. The county fair isn't regular, going out to eat at chain restaurants is. And, you think those people wouldn't just eat a cheeseburger and two donuts on the side? Yeah right. You go out to eat once a week and eat some of an appetizer, have an entree, and then a dessert. THAT'S why America is "fat." Don't people realize that even a single meal from restaurants are worse than fair food like the donut burger? I'm living proof of it. My family goes out to eat several times a week; I strongly believe that's why I got up to almost 300 pounds by the time I was 15-years-old.

IT'S ALL ABOUT PORTIONS!!!!! Well, maybe not 100% but I watch my boyfriend's sister-in-law fix a plate for her husband. There's a whole days worth of fat, calories, etc. on one plate! Then they look at me with my smaller portions and treat me like I'm not eating enough! I'm eating plenty! Her mom once called me anorexic - I was 5'2" and 122 pounds - note they are all morbid obese. I told her I was 40 pounds away from anorexic!

When I go out to eat it's because I'm having a cheat day. It just isn't worth the trip if you can't stuff yourself to the gills! YUM! Give me my Outback Chopped Bleu Cheese Salad and Bleu Cheese Crusted Filet with a Sweet Potato (yes on the butter and brown sugar!)

It's ok every once in a while.

Oh my gosh I know.. When my boyfriend and I started dating over a year and a half ago, he would take me out to eat at least 1-2 times a week! No wonder I gained weight! This site has really opened my eyes to so much.. I now feel like I am in complete control over my body and my weight.. Now that I am educating myself I am saving myself thousands of calories, and my honey is saving a lot of cash!!
