Did Jimmy John's lie?

Hey guys--
So first off so you know I already ate the item...so the "damage is done." Bacially I am in ED recovery and decided to face a fear food as one of my calorie specific snacks. It's supposed to be 370 calories and I realized the cookies from where I work were 370 calories according to their website. It's the Jimmy John's Oatmeal Raisin cookie (and it was delicious), but I had looked it up on google and was only finding the calorie count to be 420 calories! I am confused where everyone seems to be getting the calorie counts.

The Jimmy John's website says 370 calories...but what makes me not trust them even more is that it says the cookie is 104g....which maybe it used to be, but all of the cookies are clearly labeled as being 3oz cookies (aka 85g....says 85g right on the front). So it makes me think they are wrong. Or maybe they just didn't change that pat and they used to be 104g and that's when they were 420 calories?

I am just confused as to what is right and what is wrong? Who should I trust...the post from the company...or the countless posts on Google of the cookie being 420 calories? And I weighed the cookie too and it is indeed 85 g. Thanks for all your help. And doesn't matter if I overate...in the end it was delicious. I am just curious for the future.

'Good that you enjoyed the cookie.
Sometimes the web sites are not updated properly
(The web site at my work place majorly stinks.)

First of all, congrats on your steps to recovery! I would imagine that the website has the most accurate information (minus the weight). I'd contact them and give them that heads up too. Most likely when they made the cookies smaller (probably to make them "less calories") they didn't update the weight info on the website when they did everything else - just changed all the nutritional data.

Keep up the good work! Best wishes!

I'd think the 420 was when the cookie was larger and the lower amount is for the smaller cookie you ate. The math seems to work that way (4 cals per gram - 420/104 = 4ish and 370/85 also = 4ish).
