Should I keep up the deficit?

I've met (and even gone a little past) my goal weight now. And while I don't really want to lose more weight, I still have a little fat to lose, my stomach is still pretty soft. I'd like to become more lean and muscular. So I'm wondering, while I continue my weight training, should I keep with my calorie deficit or start eating up to my maintenance calorie level?

Check where your BMI is on the scale. I did and found that my goal weight is just into the normal range. Once I get there I may take another 5-10 off (depending on how I feel and look) and that will land me smack in the middle of Normal!

If you need to burn fat, but not lose weight, I'd say up the cardio and eat your maintenance calories.

this is where i am too. why it's confusing to me, i don't know. right now i leave a little calories over each day, maybe 2 or 3 hundred. i was told to eat them. i still plan to exercise daily and only have the belly fat to lose. my plan is to focus on strength traning and not a lot of cardio. i'm only three weeks into maintenance, so i can't tell you how it's working out. i lost 3 extra pounds in the meantime. this week i will probably gain them back. i enjoyed some cookies, three days in a row.

all the best. i hope you figure it out or someone gives you a better answer. i wouldn't mind hearing more from maintenance people.
