Every time I try to exercise something goes wrong

This is just a rant, but I'm really upset right now. It's really weird, but it seems like every time I try to start exercising and taking care of myself, something goes wrong and I have to stop for a little while.
I walked 3 miles for the first time in a long time about 6 months ago. Felt great. The next day I was hit with incapacitating pain which I would later learn is likely due to endometriosis. I was not able to do anything for the rest of the week and tried to stay off my feet as much as possible to avoid causing more pain. While it's possible that the sudden change of exercise habits contributed to the pain, the pain is always that bad on day one regardless of what I've done. It's just a terrible coincidence that it happened to start, for the first time, the day after I decided to start walking.
And then a few days ago I decided to stop being lazy and start taking morning walks. Then tonight, while I was stretching, I felt a big pop in my upper back/shoulder and now it hurts to even turn my neck. I'm stuck in bed and I can't do anything. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow but I'm guessing they'll just tell me to rest which sucks because I wanted to walk.
I'm just so sick of this. It's like I have some terrible curse where every time I decided to take charge and start exercising again, something happens and I have to stop. Dammit I just want to walk. >:(

I think we all get bad spells. This entire year up til about a month ago I had disaster after disaster leaving me unable to exercise for significant duration.
What you do however, is still eat right. During times of injury you can still lose weight if you maintain a calorie deficit so it's not a complete write off!0 -
so do setbacks only happen to you when you try to work out or do you just not link those setbacks to anything else when they normally happen?0

Ughhh that sucks! I feel your pain in a sense. As soon as I got back into exercising just a few weeks ago I totally messed my back up doing a kickboxing video. It re-aggrivated this weird back problem (slipped disc or something) I had for YEARS. .Now the pain is driving me crazy every single day and I don't know what to do. I'm scared it's going to go on for YEARS again I CAN still take my walks thankfully but my range of motion is limited. Sigh.
Sorry that turned into a selfish rant! But I'm just saying, I know what you're going through. You're not alone. All you can do is take it easy and start small like you have been trying to do. It will click with your body eventually.
Remember the golden rule: weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Eat as well as you can and maybe just try and start a very gentle workout routine that involves lots of stretching, maybe yoga or something..?0 -

Absolutely this.
Sorry for the spell of bad luck, but that can't force you to stop. Keep on truckin and walk when you're able to.0 -
You might be overdoing it.
1) you could try using diet to get your weight down first before exercising to reduce the chance of injury if you think excess weight is causing it.
2) you could hire a trainer for a short time to show you how to do things that will be effective but safe if you think you may be pushing too hard or using bad form.
3) you could just try easing way back and ease into your program way more slowly next time you start up if you think you are overenthusiastic when you start and really "pushing it"....(to me 3 miles on day 1 seems a bit much).
4) you could rub a raw egg all over your body and then throw it against a tree if you think you are just having bad juju. jk. lol. my sister did this with a bad car that was a lemon and claimes she had to speed out of there because it was black inside when it hit the tree. (hint: don't do this magic spell in the dark and when you are not wearing your glasses. *wink*).0
