Gaining normal metabolism after starving

While I still think starvation mode is BS, I think I'm a victim of a messed up metabolism. Last week, I starved (including fasting for 2 days) and I lost 4.4 pounds. :) I was so happy. I started doing this for most of this week and I can correctly say my metabolism is ruined. Under normal circumstances, I would have lost 2.2 more pounds this week but I've been on 176 pounds since Saturday last week, while keeping my workout the same and my portions less. I even increased to a 177 today. What can I do to gain my normal metabolism back, I won't starve like this again for weight loss.
