Juice Plus?

My SIL just invited me to a Juice Plus thingy... it's a pitch but I don't know if she's selling it or whatnot. She said that she and her friend are using it, as are my nieces, and their health is better, their energy is up, etc. so come and see why it's so great...no pressure to buy.
Would it be worth listening to the spiel? I know NOTHING about it.
TIA!

It's interesting...all your daily veggies, fruits and stuff in pill form...I would think it's a good thing. I don't ever listen to wild claims though. If I would ever take it, I would do it just as an added benefit and definitely wouldn't take it as a miracle pill or anything like that. It might be worth listening to0

Just remember- juice has less fiber than the fruit (less filling), and high in sugar (yep, that's why they feel like they have more energy)...better off eating the whole fruit...0

'Juice Plus' are a dietary supplement Tablet....
I would suggest having a read of this before going over.... :drinker:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juice_Plus
"The product has been criticized on the basis that: its marketing is unsupported by research data, it contains too little fruit and vegetable powder to offer significant clinical benefits,[22] its effects can be attributed to the inclusion of added exogenous vitamins and micronutrients, and it is excessively priced relative to its potential benefits"0 -
My wife takes Juice Plus daily and she swears by it. She says she feels great taking it. she also had a micro nutrient analysis done last year and her anti-oxidants were off the chart (a good thing). The doctor thought it might be the Juice Plus.0

MY bad:embarassed: , just checked it out on Wikipedia- -capsules:noway: ? Seems there have been alot of claims from the company that are bogus, getting them in trouble with various watchdog groups and governmental agencies...and it is a MLM.0

Slightly OT but u might want to think about getting yourself a juicer-home made juices are really scrummy especially (surprisingly) veggie juices - they are also freezable so very convenient. And they definitely do give u an energy boost. I got a basic one from Amazon nearly new for £35.0

I tried Juice Plus for three months and I did not notice a benefit. I think the others are right - have the whole fruit or get a juicer!0

Thanks for the input everyone! I eat plenty of fruits and veggies and take a daily multi, so I think I'm okay.0
