I'm wondering its taken me a few weeks to actually find and commit to a fitness program, I starting Jillian Micheals Winning By Losing Program. It took me almost two months and 35lbs to actually commit to a program, so my question, how long did it take you before you found a workout regimen you could stick to and what research did you do before starting?

2 months and 26 pounds before I dedicated myself to it on a daily basis. I walk. This fits my schedule and my pocket book best. Walking is always good for you. Good luck!! Glad you found something you like.

I've worked out consistently for 2 years now and still never stick to the same thing. I'm constantly changing, trying, going back and forth between them. I just finished a marathon so spent my summer running, now in winter I'm back to my kettlebell, running, elliptical, and pilates. I get bored easily :)

It's hard to say. I could say that it only took about 3 weeks to stick to a regime, but in reality, I've been on the search for years. When I lived in Virginia, I used to practice muay thai kickboxing twice a week and attend Weight Watchers, and that plan worked wonders for me. Since moving back home (Georgia), I've been looking for a gym/school/club that would offer me a workout as enjoyable as the class I took in VA, but could never find it. Now, I belong to an awesome gym with a suitable alternative (Fight Club) and am also receiving personal training twice a week. I'm getting similar results, but it's taking a lot more effort (and money) to keep with.

Regardless, I know I'm committed. And MFP is much more enjoyable than Weight Watchers to me!!!

Best of wishes with your program with Jillian Michaels! I have her Shred-It with Weights and Yoga Meltdown, and they are fantastic!
