How many calories did you eat to lose 10 pounds?

Hi guys,
I'm 26, female, 5'5 and 131 pounds-I'm looking to lose about 10 pounds.
I have a desk job-I sit most of the day although I do try and get up and walk around occasionally and do a few squats. I'm exercising about 4x a week for an hour-mostly cardio, supposedly burning 400-600 cals per workout (although I don't know if this is accurate). My calorie target is 1,200, but this just leaves me starving, which leads to overeating at night.
I know that you have to decrease calories a lot to lose those last 10 pounds, but has anyone managed to do this on 1,300-1,400 calories? I'd feel a lot more comfortable at this number, I think.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Well you're supposed to eat back your exercise calories if you're on 1200. Also, I'm 5'3, I lose at 1200, but you're two inches taller and much younger than I am, I bet you could lose on 1400 or more. Just remember, if you only have ten pounds to get rid of total, you'll be celebrating ounces lost, not pounds. It's slow. It just is, and a bigger deficit will probably just make you grouchier about it!

I am about the same, I am 5'5" and want to drop another 10. It is taking forever but yeah the ounces and inches are coming off. I am also older than you and have major calorie burn through exercise every day. I am sticking to around 1200 per day although most days I end up with a small net or negative net (not good). But that's just me....

I plugged your #s into the Scooby's TDEE calculator and got much higher #s then 1200. Perhaps you should give that a try: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Thanks all! I'll maybe try upping to 1,300 and see how that goes-I guess it's all about trial and error!
Best of luck to you all with your weight loss journey!
