Should I buy bigger pants?

Hey everyone, this is a weird question...
I heard that muscle builds faster than fat burns, so you get bigger even though you're working out; my question is, how can I avoid this, or is it impossible? Have any of you experienced this when you first started exercising? Should I just give it up as a force of nature and buy bigger pants in advance?
Thanks!

Pants?! We don't need no stinkin' pants...
Seriously, you won't build muscle faster than you will burn fat. You will, however, retain fluid in your muscles when you work out which can make clothes feel a little tighter. That is temporary.
Short answer: no, you don't need bigger pants.0 -

Heck, I've totally ditched all clothing until I hit my goal. Why buy more clothes that will only fit me for a few months. That's my money saving tip for the day (of course, if you can avoid the nudity in public fines).
But, I suppose, you could just use electrical tape pasties and some old undies to satisfy the prudes that wanna ruin the party for us.0 -

Aww I'm glad to be back too! Now take off your pants. :bigsmile:0 -
"Muscle builds faster than fat burns"??
Don't I WISH. Muscle is impossibly difficult to built. Exponentially harder than losing fat.
You can't even build muscle and burn fat at the same time, anyway.0 -

your correct but in the same week you can do that^0 -
Oh, thank goodness, it isn't true ? *phew*
I just had a few friends who started exercising + eating clean and noticed that their pants suddenly became too tight, and all the difference they could tell was that their thigh muscles had gotten larger. Maybe it was unique to their body, or something.
So if I keep jogging I will lose the fat in my legs faster than muscles will build?0
