Skechers Go Walk Shoes Review?

Anyone on here had or currently have the Skechers Go Walk shoes? I'm thinking about getting them to use for my daily exercise. I walk 4-5 miles every day, so I thought a pair of shoes made for walking would be better than plain tennis shoes. I also like that they don't have shoe strings - just slip em' on and go. But before I buy them, anyone have any opinion or reviews on them?

They're comfortable for daily wear, but I don't like walking too much in them. They tend to make my feet sweat (probably because you don't need socks with them) than tennis shoes, and I don't get the support I prefer. Personally, I would recommend the shoe just on a general basis, but would get a decent pair of walking shoes for exercise.0

I have a pair that I wear every day. I love them and highly recommend them. But I've never walked 4-5 miles in them and would probably put on my Saucony shoes for the extra support for an extended walk.0

I agree with the other posters. I love mine, but...
They make my feet sweat
They get smelly really easy - but I've thrown mine in the washer...
They are great "go to" shoes - running to the grocery store, the mail box, any other short distance walks
The little hole on the back has given me a blister - when I first got them and wore them for 8 hours - lots of walking
I like a little more support when walking with a purpose (working out)
They are low cut so there is NO ankle support - I broke my right leg/ankle three years ago and I need extra support
They are super light weight! You feel like you're walking on air.
Again, I love them!
I would recommend them, but not for the purpose of working out/long walks/running.
I've had mine for 1.5 years - even in the washer they have held up well - a little "dingy" but still in almost perfect condition - I wear them 2-3 days a week for 30 min - 2 hours at a time.0 -
I love mine! I got mine to walk around New Orleans in last spring and I didn't have a single problem with them. I think I got one blister on the top of my right foot and they were brand new when I wore them there, which is amazing since new shoes I usually get a ton of blisters breaking them in. I walked quite a few miles a day too. Although I agree they get smelly really easily.0

Love mine too. I wear them everyday to work and back and also, on my lunchtime walk-abouts. I convinced all the girls in the office to get them! In Chicago, we do lots of walking!0

Do you have to take the sole/insert out when you wash them?
I haven't tried washing mine.. I'm always afraid they'll come unglued or something.0 -
Thanks, everyone! I just happen to live in a small town do I don't have a whole lot of access to sport or athletic stores to chose a good pair of walking shoes from. So I appreciate everyone's opinions on them.0

I have never taken out the insert part... If you don't want to throw them in the washer try to soak them in the sink0 -

6pm.com has a lot of good, low cost shoes (including walking and running shoes). Worth checking out.0 -
