How often should I work out for and for how long on my running machine during the week?
and how many weeks was it before you noticed any change in your body ?

It all depends on what your goals are. If you're looking for weight loss it's honestly more about nutrition and doesn't really matter how often you work out. When I first started I worked out 3x per week for about 30-40 minutes. Took me 3 years to move up to 4x per week but I still managed to lose a good 80 lbs with working out 3x per week because I focused a LOT on my nutrition. I now work out 5 - 6 days per week because I love it. I had a lot of weight to lose so it took a few months to notice much of a difference but that aspect is totally dependent on the person. If you're working out to tone or get lean then that's a bit of a different story and really depends on what you're doing for your workouts.

How long it takes someone else to notice will be vastly different from how YOUR body changes. For some it can take 6 - 8 weeks for others a few months.

Feel free to friend me and we can chat! :)

What are your goals? Do you want to be a runner? How long do you workout now? What do you do other than a treadmill? What do you eat? what fitness level do you have now? Do you want to lose weight? do you want to climb mountains?
What changes do you want to see?

So in reality without a lot more information no one can really give you any constructive advice

    +1

Eat a deficit if you want to see a change in your body. Work out to add to the deficit and build stamina/strength. Keep doing those things consistently for 6 months.

the only workout i do is walking and a tiny bit of jogging, there are times when i have gone weeks without properly working out and still lost 2lb per week... personally it took me 40lb to see a big WOW change in my body, concentrate on what you're eating and the exercise will help you along the way whether its a 10 min workout or a 30min workout.
