C25K -- anyone else skip the first few weeks?

I skipped to week 4 (the distance version) because the first few weeks' descriptions seemed too easy for me--and I did just fine! I'm wondering, though, if this might have negative consequences? I'm thinking I'll be fine, but I'd LOVE to hear if anyone else skipped ahead and how they progressed.

I skipped a few weeks too. I developed shin splints but I am unsure if it was from the "0-full throttle". I had a previous injury to my knee, uncertain if it was related. I pushed myself because mentally I felt it was easy but my shins ended up aching soon after. I think from a long time of not running for a good length then starting up and running a longer period of time again.0

I was running 5-7 miles a day six months ago before I had a knee injury of my own! I'm hoping I haven't made a grave mistake!0 -
If you create a free account with Garmin Connect (you dont have to have a watch to make an account), they have 5K training plans to explore. They have 5K Level 1, 2 and 3. That way you can pick a plan that suits your fitness level.0

I'm sure you'll be fine. My knee injury was from basketball years ago.0 -
Hi all! I've just finished week 5. I'm not regretting having skipped ahead at all! In fact, I'm glad I did, as I feel like I jumped in at just the right spot.0
