So HUNGRY!

Does anyone have almost uncontrollable hungry the day after a work out? I eat back some of my calories I burn but try to leave 100-150 un-eaten. Monday I worked out and Tuesday I was so hungry (one of my co-workers though I might be pregnant but I assure you I'm not). Wednesday I worked out and again today, so hungry. I feel like headed from the hunger pains. Any idea why? Any suggestions? I haven't been sleeping a full 8 hrs (more like 6 due to the heat and frankly some stress). But I have an extra coffee mid-day to keep me going.

I notice that you eat back your exercise calories. For those of us that do this and that achieve high levels of physical fitness this practice can actually become counter productive. I think whats happening is that your body is wanting you to eat the same calories as you did the day before. This is why, personally I stick close to a fairly standard amount of calories per day. Not that it stops me from occasionally being wracked with hunger pangs. I solved it by finding a coping mechanism. For me it was low calorie jelly. About 50 calories worth of that stuff would fill 2 rather large bowls. And after that much in my stomach I felt satisfied.
So my advice is try and keep your calorie intake day by day as steady as possible. And find something low calorie that you can binge on to fill you up on your off days.0 -
I just increased my calories due to starting P90X3, and I feel like a ravening beast. Tony, what have you done to me?!?!?!?0
