Going up with adding strength exercise normal?

Is it normal to go up a little and stay up when you start strength training? I went up about 2 pounds and feeling bloaty and bigger and have stayed exactly the same for 3 days with cardio and good eating. Same water as usual. I am definitely feeling the burn.
I thought I heard it was but wanted to check before I get discouraged
