I've been looking everywhere - no luck. I'm making carrot cake and I don't like cream cheese. ![ ](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/cry.png)
I don't mind whipped cream but for carrot cake I was thinking maybe more of a buttercream but those calories can surely rack up. If anybody has a go to low cal icing they frequently use either for cakes or even on vanilla/chocolate cupcakes would you mind sharing? Thanks

You can make a frosting out of a 8oz tub of cool whip (light or free for lower cal/fat) mixed with a small box (3.5 or 4 oz I think) of sugar free/fat free instant pudding. For a cream cheese taste - I think they have that flavor, or make try a cheesecake flavor.
I've also seen recipes where you add 1 cup of milk and a tsp of vanilla extract - never tried it but that probably makes it taste more like real frosting. Combine pudding w/ milk and vanilla then fold in the cool whip.0
