I am having a difficult time with the calories I am burning. I log it on MFP, then i check it with LoseIt, then with sparkpeople.....all say a different thing for the same hour spent. I'm not sure what's accurate. The sites are even saying different calorie allowances for the day. Which do I follow? MFP tells me 1200, Lose it tells me 1400 and SP is telling me 1450. Confusing!

the easy answer is get a HRM and log that as it is the most accurate for you- 1200 cal is the VERY minimum you should consume without going into starvation mode... go to message board, general weight loss section and read the banks1850 messages- they're there for a reason...
    good luck on your journey!
  • A heartrate monitor might help you get a more accurate measurement of your calories.
But I think most of all these gadgets are off on the calories even down to the treadmill.
Just keep working hard and keep pushing yourself, dont take it easy on the cardio.

  • Agreed with everyone else.

Just work out, work hard, WATCH THE DIET, and you will see results. Remember that the harder you push yourselves, and the better the diet, to greater results you'll see.
  • 1400 is usually a good calorie goal to work with. :) 1200 is the minimum of what a person should be eating.

The numbers are going to be something you are going to have to play with.
