Any one have any 400 calorie ideas for dinner tonight? Me i like to have a tuna salad sandwich on whole wheat bread with soup

170 cals dempsters whole wheat bread
tuna 1/3 can =40 calories
table spoon miricle whip=40 cals
celery and onions just a bit =0 cals

1 serving of chicken noodle soup =60 calroies
1 serving of 7 crackers = 90 cals


total of 400 cals even

love to hear what you guys have to post!

    WELL.. i love these threads cuz i get really good ideas!!!

    so tonite for dinner i am having:

    - 1 cup of shredded hash browns - 140 cals
    - 1 Tilapia filet- 110
    - 1 salad with: lettuce, heart of palm, avocado, mushrooms and fat free feta and dressing- 210

    Little over 400 cals but hopefully will be delicious!

    spaghetti!!
    i make it with barilla spaghetti noodles- 100cals a cup
    prego sauce - 80 cals a 1/2 cup
    parmesan cheese - 20 cals 2tbs
    so two cups pasta and you got 400 calories,
    or you could add in sum sauteed veggies, try green pepper, and olives

    a turkey burger
    4oz patty - 150 cal
    bun - abt 150 cal
    fat free mayo - 45 cal
    slice tomato - 4? cal
    pickles - 5 cal
    a lil under, try it with your favorite fat free dressing instead, or fat free cheddar/ salsa/ a slice of avocado

    buffalo wings

    buy em' frozen, they're about 150cal for 3
    so six wings and and 2 tbs. of light/fat free blue cheese

    My favorite quick dinner involves soup and a veggie burger!

    Progresso Light Soup - 1 serving is 60 calories

    MorningStar Black Bean Burger - 140 Calories
    OrroWheat Double Fiber Bread (2 slices) - 140 Calories
    Tomatoes - 5
    Pickles - 5
    Spicy Mustard - 10
    Lettuce - 5
    If you don't mind going a few calories over 400, throw on a 2% Cheese Slice (Pepperjack is the best!) which is an addition 50 calories

    Or you can have the Morningstar Spicy Buffalo Wings. It's 200 calories for 5 wings and they are fantastic! I have those with soup all the time. YUM!

    Last night my hubby made this for us:

    4oz tilapia fillet, broiled with generous and chunky jalapeno parmesan topping
    1/2 can Italian green beans with some bacon bits
    1 slice bran toast with a little margarine and reduced fat cheddar on top
    1/2 a navel orange

    total was about 450 cals

    SO GOOD!!!!

    3oz Baked Salmon,155 cals
    6 mini potatoes, 135 cals
    2 tsp Becel, 35 cals
    1 cup of steamed carrots 52 cals

    total: 377 cals

    Have you ever heard of Taco Soup? It is
    1 Large Can Kidney Beans drained and rinsed
    1 Can Creamed Corn
    1 Can (15oz) Chicken Breast
    3 Cans of tomatoes (I used the sweet onion or chilli ones)
    1 Large Can of Vegetarian Baked Beans (Bushes are the best)
    1 Packet of Taco Seasoning

    I put it in the slower cooker for 4 hours on low but you can do it on the stove top, just warm through. This is 200 cal. per cup, so two cups is 400 cals. Or do 1.5 cups and put some tortillia chips or cheese on it, also great with sour cream.

    Stir Fry Chicken and Brocolli! It's so yummy! The brocolli soaks up the sauce so I don't miss the rice.

    I like to make it with some Thai Red Chili Paste a little low sodium soy and a dash of fish sauce.

    1 chiken breast
    2 cups brocolli
    +sauce

    = 310 calories

    turkey patty (100cals)
    TJ whole wheat bun (110)
    slab of cheese (60 cals)

    Probably have a klondike ice-crean sandwich for dessert (100cals)

    When I am in the mood for PIZZA.....this is what I opt for:

    2 Italian herb flat-out wraps 180 cals
    1/2 cup ragu pizza sauce 30 cals
    Kraft 2% mozarella cheese 140 cals
    Hillshire Farms Deli Smoked Ham 2 oz 60 cals
    Assorted veggies, onions, peppers etc.....not enough cals to count.

    I bake two of these in the oven for about 10 minutes @ 350 (splitting the amounts into 2 pizzas above)
    Sometimes I broil them right before taking out of the oven to crisp the top of the cheese.

    Total cals..........410!! They are quite filling too.
