The Human Resources department at my job send out weekly health emails. Admitedly, I don't read them very often. Today they linked to a very interesting article about nutrition, and a summary of it, as the original article is quite long (with interruptions, it took me about an hour to read). Anyway, I thought they were interesting and that I'd share their urls.

Original article: http://michaelpollan.com/articles-archive/unhappy-meals/

Summary article: http://longevity.about.com/od/lifelongnutrition/p/pollan.htm

Great article folks. Kind of long in the original, but it's worth reading.

I especially love the part about studies and noting that people lie about what they eat! What?! I've never done that! (You can stop laughing now, everyone!)

I love Michael Pollan! I bought The Omnivore's Dilemma and read almost half of it, but school has gotten in the way so I'll have to wait till Xmas break to read the rest. He does such a great job of explaining how we've gotten to where we are as a nation and throughout most of the world and how we can and need to get back to eating for life and eating closer to the earth. thanks for posting.
